Any day can turn into a great day when dodgeball is involved.

Steel Valley Middle School students competed in a total of 27 dodgeball games on Tuesday, April 4. The competitions featured fifth and sixth graders competing against each other and seventh and eighth graders competing against each other. The winning teams in each group took on the teachers and won bragging rights for the rest of the year.

The sixth grade team, Dougie Bears, and the eighth grade team, Fantastic 5, were the winning teams. The entire dodgeball tournament was sponsored by the PBIS team and the games were refereed by 12 high school student volunteers.

Each winning team will receive a Chick-Fil-A breakfast next week after spring break.

The PBIS team is grateful to everyone who helped out, including the high school student volunteers, Mr. Goga for helping organize the high school students, our PBIS team and student team for planning a great event, our supportive staff and most of all our students who have worked hard all month to participate in this event.

PBIS is a program that rewards students for following our rules and not having any major disciplinary issues throughout the month of March. Have a great Spring Break!
