Steel Valley School District serves the boroughs of Homestead, Munhall, and West Homestead and is just a little over seven miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The service area covers 3.78 square miles. The District has two elementary schools (Barrett and Park), Steel Valley Middle School and Steel Valley Senior High School with a combined student population of 1,375.

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Development & Special Programs

The Board of School Directors in the Steel Valley School District is actively seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to fulfill the role of Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Development & Special Programs. This position plays a pivotal role in providing leadership across various aspects of teaching and learning within the district, ensuring the delivery of high quality education to students. The successful candidate will oversee curriculum development, instructional strategies, assessment methodologies and professional development initiatives. Additionally, responsibilities extend to managing Federal Programs, exploring grant opportunities, facilitating teacher induction programs, overseeing home school education initiatives and supervising evaluations of staff members. This position will also serve as the district’s Right to Know Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
