We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about helping students learn and grow. Steel Valley School District serves the boroughs of Homestead, Munhall, and West Homestead and is just a little over seven miles from downtown Pittsburgh. The service area covers 3.78 square miles. The District has a brand new, state-of-the-art elementary school at Steel Valley Elementary, which has been constructed adjacent to Steel Valley Middle School and Steel Valley High School. The three schools serve a combined student population of 1,375.

PART-TIME POSITIONS

District Security Guard (Part-time)

Provides security for the school district staff, students, buildings and property through patrol of school building(s) and building perimeters, including parking lots, to prevent unauthorized visitors or property damage and to provide for general building security; does related work as required. 

Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (5 hours per day)

Substitute Teachers, Paraprofessionals, and Secretaries

The Steel Valley School District contracts with Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. (STS) to manage our substitute staffing and recruiting. All applicants interested in applying to be a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, or secretary with Steel Valley must complete the application process through STS.
