Da'Ron Barksdale is officially set to become a Pitt Panther. The Steel Valley High School senior formally signed his scholarship papers to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Pittsburgh next fall. Barksdale was joined by his family, friends, teammates, coaches, and friends for a special Signing Day Ceremony on Wednesday, December 3 in the high school auditorium.
Steel Valley High School senior Ryan Cameron has officially taken the next step in her athletic career, signing a letter of intent to play volleyball at Slippery Rock University beginning next fall. The accomplished middle hitter has been a driving force for the Ironmen throughout her high school career, earning a reputation for her powerful play, leadership, and unwavering competitiveness.
For the third time in four years, the Ironmen took the field at Acrisure Stadium with a WPIAL Class 2A championship in their sights. Unfortunately, Seton LaSalle rallied in the fourth quarter to deny the Ironmen the title. The Rebels scored the game-winning touchdown with 30 seconds to win 21-14.
Steel Valley celebrated its senior football players, cheerleaders, and marching band members during a senior recognition ceremony on October 17, 2025.
