Carrick Hockey

Tryouts:

This is a notification about the upcoming Carrick Hockey Tryouts for the 2020-21 Season for students that will be entering 9th-12th grades in the upcoming school year.  We are once again expecting to field both a JV and Varsity team this year, but turnout/interests will dictate this final decision.

Tryout dates are:

Thursday 7/9 from 7:00 - 7:50 pm at Ice Castle.
Saturday 7/119 from 11:00 am - 12:20 pm at the Spencer Family YMCA in Bethel Park
Sunday 7/129 from 1:00 am - 12:20 pm at the Spencer Family YMCA in Bethel Park
Monday 7/139 from 7:00 - 7:50 pm at the Spencer Family YMCA in Bethel Park

These tryouts are for students enrolled at the following schools:

Allderdice, Brashear, Brentwood, Carlynton, Carrick, Pittsburgh Sci/Tech, Steel Valley & West Mifflin.   Please forward this information to anyone you know that may be interested and also include me on the email so that I have for future communication.

The fees for tryouts are $125, with checks payable to Carrick Hockey.  Total costs for the season will be $2,025 for skaters and $1,275 for Goalies (along with voluntary fundraisers available for all players to help defer costs.)  The tryout fee is non-refundable, but if you accept the offered position the fee is applied to your season costs.

The tryout fee and required signed paperwork (soon to follow: tomorrow) are due at the start of tryouts. Please give this information to a board member working the check in table and you will be assigned a pinnie number to attach to the back of your jersey. Also, please have your player bring both a black and white jersey to tryouts and you will be assigned a color to wear at the check in table at this time as well.

Mid-Am recommendations concerning best safety measures and any existing/future CDC guidelines should be followed and are the responsibility of the players to adhere to them.

If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly and I'll try to gather an answer for you as best I can especially with all the current uncertainty going on. Also please reply to me (WRIGHTJRWW@YAHOO.COM) as to whether your child plans on trying out/attending as we will need to take extra planning/practice measures.
