FEDERAL PROGRAMS
TITLE I, PART A: STEEL VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), is one of the nation’s oldest and largest federally funded education programs. This program provides financial assistance to our district to meet the needs of educationally at-risk students.
Title I, Part A funds provide supplemental educational services for both Barrett and Park Elementary Schools in the Steel Valley School District. Through the use of Title I, Part A federal funds, the Steel Valley School District strives to provide extra instructional services and activities which support students identified as not meeting or most at risk of not meeting Pennsylvania’s academic performance standards in reading and math.
Any questions regarding the Title I program should be directed to the Director of Federal Programs for the Steel Valley School District:
Dr. Brian Plichta
Assistant Superintendent
