Steel Valley senior Kylie Salopek has officially signed to play collegiate soccer at Division I Mercyhurst University next fall.
Salopek was joined by her family, friends, teammates, and coaches for a special signing ceremony on Wednesday, November 13 in the Steel Valley High School auditorium.
As a freshman, Salopek helped the Steel Valley Ironmen girls soccer team capture a WPIAL title with a thrilling victory at Highmark Stadium. She battled through adversity and injuries to be named All-Section and All-WPIAL as a junior midfielder last year and All-Section as a senior midfielder this past season.
Earlier this fall, Salopek was named Steel Valley's 2024 Homecoming Queen. Along with soccer, she's also been a member of the Steel Valley softball team and been involved in various other activities. She'll be joining a Mercyhurst program that recently made the move to Division I play in the Northeast Conference.
Congratulations Kylie!
