SADD March TRU Conference

On Friday, March 17th, SADD Officers attended the Second Annual Tobacco Resistance Unit (TRU) Conference in Irwin, PA at the Antonelli Event Center.  There were over 300 students in attendance.  This year's focus at the conference was Mental Health. Students got the opportunity to hear from Jordan Corcoran of Listen Lucy, a mental health advocate as well as two other professionals from the Mental Health realm.  Steel Valley seniors, Brenna Kern and Breanne Francis, participated in a PSA contest. Their video focused on the negative effects of flavored e-cigarettes which was played at the conference for all students to see. Steel Valley SADD is excited to make this a new yearly tradition!
