On Earth Day, Mrs. Banyas reunited with her former first-grade colleagues to share a special project with both teachers and students—making seed paper! The students began by tearing old papers into small pieces, which they then submerged in a bowl of water. After soaking, they blended the mixture into a pulp and mixed in various flower seeds before shaping and flattening the pulp.
The kids couldn't wait to take their creations home! Many already had plans for where they would plant their seed paper. We’re looking forward to seeing the beautiful flowers bloom soon! A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Banyas for returning and guiding us through this fun and meaningful activity!
