Last week fourth graders from both Park and Barrett visited Junior Achievement's BizTown, an interactive education program designed to teach financial literacy. In preparation for the trip, the students explored essential components of financial literacy, including writing checks, understanding taxes, managing payroll, and more. During their time at BizTown, the students learned the importance of teamwork while managing a community filled with banks, storefronts, and even a radio station. Each student played a vital role in their position to help their business pay off their loan and make a profit! Finally, students had the opportunity to spend their hard-earned money on products offered by the different businesses. Great job, fourth grade!
