Circus Arts in First Grade

Visiting artists from the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust are working with first graders on their Balance and Motion science unit.  Today, they talked with the students about Circus Arts and created a mobile.  They also balanced a giant flower just like at the circus!

 

Circus Arts focus on various aspects of physical movement, strength, and endurance, and the ranges possible for the human body and physique.

 

The first graders had a lot of fun and can't wait for their visiting artists to come back again next week!
