Principal Advisory Council

Fourth grade students on the Principal Advisory Council work hard to make the school a better place.  They meet every other week with Mrs. Chalus and Dr. Shaughnessy, and each group works on one big project.

This year, Group 1 thought it would be a good idea to consolidate recess equipment for students in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades.  Previously, each grade-level took their own equipment outside.

Students on the council came up with a plan.  They interviewed every classroom teacher to get their thoughts on the idea, and talked with students in each classroom to hear about the equipment they would want.  

They were given a budget and worked closely with Mr. Janov to pick out the best equipment to order.

When everything arrived, students pumped up the balls and organized the cart. Today, students enjoyed the nice weather and new equipment at recess!
