Borough Days

Third graders had the opportunity to hear from numerous elected officials and Munhall Borough employees over the last few weeks.  The class then held its own election, with students running for Mayor and Council positions.  Take a look at the eight newly elected officials with their generous packages from the Munhall Borough! 

After the election, council members spent an afternoon hiring 20 Borough employees.  As they sorted through the stack of well written applications from highly qualified candidates, they realized how difficult the hiring process can be.  Munhall Borough sent very generous care packages to the newly hired third grade Borough employees, as well. 

Care packages included an official certificate for their position, an informational booklet on Pennsylvania’s capital, a coloring book, a Munhall Borough Pencil, and a Chic Fil A gift card.  Special thanks to Becky Wirth, Rob Falce, Joe Varhola and everyone else from Munhall Borough who helped to make this happen!
