Tough Guys

Everyone knows the boys and girls from Munhall, West Homestead, and Homestead are made of tougher stuff, and Mason Keesecker and Shay Krysinski proved it earlier this week when they pinned their opponents in the Pennsylvania Southwest Wrestling Finals.  Mason wrestles in the 60 pound weight class, and Shay wrestles in the 75 pound class.  They will be competing in the State Championship next week.

Mason and Shay had to work incredibly hard to make it happen.  They practice and workout everyday, cranking up the heat in the gym to make the training even harder.  When the boys aren't wrestling and working out, they are hitting the books in their 4th grade classes.  Their favorite core class is math, and their favorite special is gym.

Mason and Shay have big plans for the future.  Mason wants to wrestle for Iowa and eventually become an engineer and own his own wrestling club.  Shay plans to wrestle for either Penn State or Pitt and become a businessman.  Don't be surprised if one day Mason and Shay are wrestling for the U.S. in the Olympics!

Mason and Shay said their victories earlier this week were really great moments for them - moments they'll remember forever.  They said they were nervous beforehand, and they are nervous about next week's State Championship.  But they said getting nervous like this makes them even better - their opponents better watch out!

Please congratulate Mason and Shay for a job well done, and wish them luck next week!
