Top of the Class

Yesterday representatives from the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE) came from Washington, D.C. to spend the day at Park Elementary.  They had the opportunity to talk with teachers and staff, visit classrooms, and take a look at the great things Park students are doing.  They were, of course, very impressed.

Park Elementary is one of three schools in Pennsylvania that has been asked to support the NCEE as they work with the Pennsylvania Department of Education to put an advanced credentialing system in place across the state.  The expectations are going to be extremely rigorous, and the three schools that have been asked to provide support have already "passed the test" and are performing at exceptionally high levels.

Once the system is in place, Park Elementary will support educators working towards the credential.  Go Ironmen!
