Attention Parents: Steel Valley School and Dragon's Den are partnering to offer FREE access to our zipline and challenge course for your children for the month of October from Monday-Friday.
We are going to continue with our current synchronous, remote learning model until the beginning of the next grading period. We now anticipate that students will return to our buildings on November 4, 2020, when the second grading period begins.

COSTCO has donated backpacks for all Barrett students. Teachers have filled them with classroom materials that you will use for the remainder of the 1st nine weeks while we are learning remotely.

The Board of School Directors will hold its September meetings on Thursday, September 24, 2020, in the Senior High School Library. The meeting will not be open to the public. The public may watch the meeting via Facebook Live on the High School Facebook site.
Home sporting events will begin this week. Steel Valley High School will be issuing two player passes to parents and guardians of our student athletes. The passes must be used by an adult - no students or children will admitted.

The Junior Council Person (JCP) Program provides youth in our community with an opportunity to engage in borough government and develop leadership skills. It also allows borough officials to serve as mentors to student who will be future leaders in their communities.
There will be a Middle School Cross Country meeting on Monday, September 14th at 3 pm for any boy or girl in grade 7 or 8 that would like to run Cross Country this year. Please meet Coach Vasy on Griffen Field if you are interested in participating.
The varsity football game scheduled for this Friday, September 11 against Serra Catholic has been postponed due to player exposure to a positive COVID case at Serra Cathlic High School.
Starting on September 10th, all students/families will be required to record their attendance for the day. A copy of the form is below. Be sure to fill the form out completely. Once submitted, your child will be marked as present in the school office.
