Developing Fine Motor Skills in Kindergarten

Kindergarteners spent some time during their first week of school learning how to cut and glue.  These activities are much more than just a lot of fun!  They help kids develop fine motor skills that are essential to complete everyday tasks like zipping and buttoning, and fine motor skills are also necessary to do "school stuff" like writing and coloring.  These activities improve hand strength and muscle development while giving young children the opportunity to work independently and develop patience.  Nice work kindergarteners!!!
