On Tuesday, February 18th students from the Middle School Drama Club participated in the Pittsburgh Public Theatre's Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest.

Temi Wierzbowski, Kara Siniawski, Eliana McCallister, Brett Konesky, Sage Dasta, Davonn Samuels, and Leland Williams worked with Ms. Riley Tate to select and practice their monologues and scene from December to February.

This is the first year that any student from Steel Valley has participated in this program. Kara Siniawski and Temi Wierzbowski were given an honorable mention for their scene from The Winter's Tale and Sage Dasta was given an honourable mention for her monologue from Richard III.
