The Steel Valley Middle School Drama Club invites guests to enjoy an evening of stories perfect for the spookiest of seasons.
"The Shadow Stories: A Cursed Play" features five scary stories drawn from myths and traditional storytelling from cultures around the world, all told by five storytellers who are scared out of their wits.
These timeless and terrifying stories will take the stage in the Steel Valley High School auditorium on Thursday, October 23 and Saturday, October 25 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m. The total run time for the show is about an hour -- just long enough to put a fright in you!
Written by Matt Webster, "The Shadow Stories" features an ensemble cast with students taking on multiple roles as members of the The Shadows, as our storytellers, and as characters in each terrifying story.
The cast features Gia Amato-Johnson, Anna Bouton, Auz Bragg, Gianna Brown, Camilla Coleman, Sage Dasta, Carolann Eisel, Damon Floyd, Emma Gonzales, Abbie Hankle, Cyrus Kettell, Henry McCann, Vivian Rusnak, Kara Siniawski, Temi Wierzbowski, and Aria Yura.
The show is directed by Christine Schott, with Alice McCallister serving as assistant director, and Eliana McCallister as stage manager. Makena Daub, Exavier Giles-Woodson, Ty Seibel, and Brielle Hoover are the stage crew. The sound board operator is Aliayah Burns and the lighting board operator is Cami Hoover. Mason Rager provides technical support, while Ryder Figueroa, Lori McCartney, and Carolann Eisel provide rehearsal support.
