The Steel Valley Drama Club is transporting audiences back in time with its presentation of "It's A Wonderful LIfe: A Live Radio Play" from Thursday, December 4 through Saturday, December 6. 

Under the direction of new program director Ms. Nicole States, students in the K-8 gifted program are focused on collaboration, creativity, and experiencing new challenges, including an opportunity to serve as mentors to life skills students and compete in a national tournament. First in a series of articles detailing academic experiences, curriculum, and more throughout the Steel Valley School District.
 

For the third time in four years, the Ironmen took the field at Acrisure Stadium with a WPIAL Class 2A championship in their sights.

Unfortunately, Seton LaSalle rallied in the fourth quarter to deny the Ironmen the title. The Rebels scored the game-winning touchdown with 30 seconds to win 21-14. Despite the loss, the Ironmen played with pride and left it all on the field.

The high school parking lot was transformed into a sea of ghouls, goblins, superheroes, cartoon characters, video game characters, and more Thursday night as Barrett Elementary and Park Elementary teamed up for a district Trunk or Treat.

The Steel Valley Middle School Drama Club invited guests to enjoy an evening of stories perfect for the spookiest of seasons. "The Shadow Stories: A Cursed Play" featured five scary stories drawn from myths and traditional storytelling from cultures around the world, all told by five storytellers who are scared out of their wits.

Congratulations to the Steel Valley High School 2025 Homecoming Queen Jahnelle McCorkle! This year's court also included first runner-up Ryan Cameron, second runner-up Amari Randall, third runner-up Trinity Booth, fourth runner-up Dominique Ruiz, Chaya Beatty, Khloe George, Aubrey Guciardo, Rebekah Kleiber, and Shaterra Meadows.

From bouts of tug-of-war to relay races, dance-offs to cheer chants, Ironmen Pride was on fully display all week long leading up to Steel Valley's 2025 Homecoming Celebration on Friday, September 26.

From the moment they stepped on the field, the girls from the Class of 2026 made it clear that they were not about to let the Class of 2027 steal their moment. The senior girls raced out to an early lead and defeated the junior girls 40-14 in the annual Homecoming Powder Puff game at Campbell Field.
