The Best of the Batch Foundation has been generously distributing Batch Packs and other supplies to Steel Valley elementary students for the last few years. On Tuesday, September 5, Charlie Batch and his volunteers had a special guest with them as they handed out the backpacks full of school supplies. Steelers star T.J. Watt and his wife, Dani, joined Batch and volunteers from PepsiCo at Barrett Elementary in Homestead.

The visit from the star linebacker was a thrill for the students, as well as for Barrett principal Mrs. Kimberly Winters, who wore Watt’s jersey for his visit.

The Best of the Batch Foundation also visited Park Elementary to distribute Batch Packs to all of the students there, as well. Thanks to the foundation’s generosity, all Steel Valley elementary students will have plenty of school supplies and a new backpack to help them learn throughout the school year.

The Best of the Batch Foundation has made the BatchPacks for Kids initiative an annual event for Steel Valley elementary students, as well as for other schools in the region. The donation also includes bags for teachers as well as other school supplies.
