Learning How To Code

In Ms. Haddad’s Second Grade ELA class at Barrett Elementary School, students put their growing coding and writing skills to use! Students used the iPad application Tynker, which uses various characters to guide students through coding lessons using sequencing, loops, and conditionals—building on the coding work students have completed in Library with Mrs. Szczypinski. After completing their next level, students analyzed their coding algorithms and wrote “How-To” writing guides for readers to explain the steps required to beat their level.
