SVMS Award Certificate

Steel Valley Middle School students who attained honor roll status this year were recognized during a special academic awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 12 in the auditorium.

Students were joined by their families for the ceremony, which also recognized those students who had perfect attendance throughout the school year.

Superintendent Bryan M. Macuga welcomed everyone and applauded the students for their achievements. He noted that in his two decades in the district, this year marked the highest number of students being recognized, with 225 students reaching honor roll status. In addition, eight students earned the perfect attendance mark.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Brian Plichta congratulated the students and encouraged them to continue to put forth the extra effort required for academic success. He said that level of dedication would continue to serve them well as they progress to high school and in their daily lives.

Each student received a certificate for their achievement. Personalized certificates with each students' honor roll status will be sent home in the near future.

Congratulations to all of the students!
