Elementary staff works on transition to one Steel Valley Elementary

During the week of March 9, our elementary staff came together for a very special Elementary Staff Alignment Day as we continue preparing for the exciting transition to one Steel Valley Elementary.

The day was filled with important and meaningful work, including teachers selecting their 2026–2027 teaching assignments, a tour of the new building, and an afternoon of team-building activities. Staff also continued their collaboration around alignment work with curriculum, as well as planning for packing and inventory in preparation for the move. It was a great opportunity for staff across our elementary schools to connect, collaborate, and strengthen relationships as one unified team.

One of the most memorable moments of the day was when our staff signed a special sign that reads, “Our Story Begins Here.” It was important that everyone had the opportunity to be part of this milestone and leave their mark as we move forward together.  This transition is a monumental step for our district, and it was inspiring to see our entire elementary team united, energized, and ready for what’s ahead. 

We are excited for the future and all that is to come for our students, staff, and families.
