Holiday favorites highlight Park Winter Concert

Kindergarten students perform in Park holiday concert

To celebrate the holiday season this year, Park students presented some of their favorite Christmas Hits during their annual holiday concert on Thursday, December 11.

Elementary music teacher Ms. Kerry Melega has developed some very creative themes for the holiday and spring concerts over the years, and this one hit all the right notes as it was hit after hit of familiar and fun songs.

Kindergarten students opened the show with "Jingle Bells," "We've Got A Christmas Tree," and the fan favorite "Hardrock, Coco, and Joe." Second grade brought the audience "Feliz Navidad," "I Wish This Christmas," and "Go Tell It On The Mountain."

First grade had some treats on the mind with "Christmas Cookies and Holiday Hearts" as well as "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Third grade sang "The Happiest Christmas Tree," "Must Be Santa," " and "A Holly Jolly Christmas."

It was up to fourth grade to close out the show this year and they did it in style with "African Noel," "Somewhere In My Memory," and "Jingle Bell Rock."

Thank you to all of the family members who joined us across two shows to support the students in their performances. Special thanks to the Park staff, the Park Special Events Committee, and the Park PTO for everything they do to make these events happen. And thanks to Mr. Janov for managing the show and Ms. Melega for always preparing the students to do their very best!

Happy holidays from everyone at Park. Enjoy some photos from the show.
