Barrett Elementary's 12 Days of Giving is back!
The elementary school's annual donation drive and charitable collection campaign began on Tuesday, November 4 and will run through Monday, November 24. While each day of the campaign has a specific theme, donations for all causes will be accepted through November 24 and Batch-a-Toys donations can be submitted through December 10.
Each day is listed below with the donation and cause. Donations can be dropped off at Barrett Elementary or you can contact Ms. Jessica Andzelik at jandzelik@steelvalleysd.org for more information.
Day 1 - Tuesday, November 4
$1 Pumpkin Patch donations will benefit the KDKA Turkey Fund
Day 2 - Wednesday, November 5
Barrett students will help assemble easy Pack and Go dinners for those in need in the community.
Day 3 - Thursday, November 6
Students will work with staff to create ornaments for care homes in the area.
Day 4 - Friday, November 7
Students can bring in collected pop tabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House as part of their campaign.
Day 5 - Tuesday, November 11
Students can bring in coins to help fill a jug. The donation will benefit Munhall Girls Softball Association's annual Fastpitch for the Cure drive.
Day 6 - Thursday, November 13
Students and staff are encouraged to perform random acts of kindness!
Day 7 - Friday, November 14
Barrett will collect pairs of socks to donate to the homeless in the region.
Day 8 - Tuesday, November 18
Barrett will collect pocket size tissue packs and chapsticks for the Steel Valley Caring Closet.
Day 9 - Wednesday, November 19
Barrett will collect donations for the Best of the Batch Foundation's "Batch-a-Toys" drive
Day 10 - Thursday, November 20
Students and staff will create cards for someone special in each student's life.
Day 11 - Friday, November 21
Barrett will collect paper towels to donate to the White Oak Animal Shelter.
Day 12 - Monday, November 24
Staff will show their love and appreciation for Barrett's amazing students!
