From bouts of tug-of-war to relay races, dance-offs to cheer chants, Ironmen Pride was on fully display all week long leading up to Steel Valley's 2025 Homecoming Celebration on Friday, September 26.
While the crowning of a new queen was the capstone to the week, the entire district joined in on the fun in the days leading up to Friday's ceremony. That included a series of pep rallies Friday morning and afternoon, as the fall sports captains, the marching band, and the cheerleaders made the rounds to pump up the students and staff prior to the game against Shady Side Academy.
Barrett students had opportunities to participate in a bunch of activities, including a footrace, push-up challenge, and a dance off that featured a few teachers and Mrs. Winters. Park students faced off against the high school students in a bunch of activities, too, from relay races to football tosses to tug-of-war.
And, of course, the high school staff couldn't resist getting in on the fun, as they faced off against the students in a dance off at an afternoon pep rally that showed they still have some moves.
Through it all, the Ironmen Pride was evident.
