The newest members of the Steel Valley School District faculty and support staff underwent New Hire Orientation on Friday, August 15.
The orientation process is designed to not only formally welcome these new hires into the district, but to help them gain a broader understanding of the district and the community.
Along with the typical onboarding procedures that happen with every new job, the staff members had a chance to meet with personnel from the Business Office, various Steel Valley union leaders, members of the Technology Department, and the Pupil Services team, as well as other district and building administrators. They also had a chance to familiarize themselves with Sapphire and other tools the district uses on a daily basis.
As part of the orientation, the new hires also underwent a tour of the district. This allowed them to not only see the building they'll be working in, but to visit each of the district's facilities and to identify the location of key community partners.
