Reindeer and Zebras and Sleighs, Oh My!

Santa has a busy job every year trying to deliver presents around the world. What happens when there is an unexpected obstacle to making those deliveries?

This year's Park Holiday Concert featured songs all about Santa's challenges and the help he receives around the world. Whether it's a particular donkey in the Italian Alps, a herd of Zebras in Africa, or some extra reindeer help in Mexico, Park students shared songs about Santa's travels and friends.

The second graders kicked things off with a series of songs about the famous animals who pull Santa's sleigh, as they performed "Pablo the Reindeer," "Nine Little Reindeer," and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer."

Kindergarten students followed suit with "Jingle Bells," "Santa, Santa Get Your Sleigh," and a tribute to three of Santa's helpers, "Hardrock, Coco, & Joe."

Fourth graders took the stage next to wonder what happens "If It Doesn't Snow on Christmas." They also performed "Santa's Using Zebras Now" and "Hallelujah."

First graders were up next with "Jolly Old St. Nicholas," "I Have a Loose Tooth," "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth," and "Sleigh Bells."

Third graders closed out the show with "Must Be Santa," "Dominick the Donkey," "and "Thirty-two Feet and Eight Little Tails."

Thanks to Ms. Kerry Melega for her outstanding work with the students, Mrs. Carmella Marzec and Ms. Jesse McCreery for helping with the set and stage, the Park staff and Special Events Committee for their extra work, and to the administration, school board, and Park PTO for their support.

Happy holidays from Park!
