Class of 2024 enjoys annual car parade through district

High school students stand in a jeep and wave in a parade

Mother Nature was very kind to the Class of 2024 and decided not to rain on their parade. Instead, we had warm temperatures, sunshine, and blue skies as the Steel Valley Class of 2024 enjoyed the annual car parade through the district Wednesday evening.

The car parade began during the pandemic as a way to celebrate the Class of 2020 and it's fast become a Steel Valley tradition, giving the seniors a final tour of their beloved community and a chance for teachers, residents, and everyone else to celebrate the graduating class.

Some of our seniors really went all out to decorate their rides. Thanks to the administration, teachers, staff, and volunteers who help put this together every year. And special thanks to the first responders from Homestead, Munhall, and West Homestead for being incredibly supportive escorts every year.

Enjoy this collection of photos from the annual senior class car parade through the district, which took place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
