Barrett's 12 Days of Giving Project a success once again

Neatly arranged donated items on display, including soup cans, socks, paper towls, and more

The donations came early and often for Barrett's 12 Days of Giving Project. While the Kick Cancer to the Curb campaign will continue through December 20 to honor those who have battled cancer, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society, the rest of the donations have been rounded up and will be sent to the various benefactors.

All told, Barrett raised $127 for the KDKA-TV Turkey Fund. PNC matched the donation for a total of $254. Barrett also raised over $135 for Steel Valley Girls Softball's Annual Fast Pitch for the Cure through the Coins for the Cure fundraiser.

Tons of pop tabs are headed to Ronald McDonald House, dozens of pairs of socks are headed to a local church to be handed out to the area's homeless population, and cans of soup are bound for the Rainbow Kitchen. Barrett also has bundles of paper towls going to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, coloring books that will be given to the Best of the Batch Foundation for the Batch-A-Toys Drive, and toiletries are being added to the Steel Valley Caring Closet.

Physical donations weren't the only things gifted during the 12 Days of Giving. Random acts of kindness activities are going to elder care facilities, school resource officers received a special thank you, and Barrett Bears were received by each student to showcase our appreciation for them!

Thank you to everyone who took part and showed some kindness during this annual campaign.
