Fire Safety Day was great! The boys and girls loved hearing from the 22 fire fighters who stopped by, ten of whom attended Park Elementary School when they were little! Some of the pictures show students practicing how to Stop, Drop, Cover Your Face, and Roll.
We want to pass on a few important reminders:
- In an emergency, dial 911.
- Have a designated meeting place outside in case of fire.
- Make sure everyone knows at least two ways out of the house.
- Change your smoke detectors when you change your clocks.
- Make sure candles are put out before you go to sleep.
- Make sure fire pits are put out before you leave the area.
